Test Background
The mildew resistance test of non-metallic gasket materials is to measure the impact of mildew on the properties of synthetic polymer materials in the form of mildew. The prepared objects can be tubes, rods, sheets and film materials, and the changes in optical, mechanical and electrical properties after mildew are measured.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various non-metallic gasket materials, and provides professional reliability testing services such as mildew resistance test, tensile strength test, softness test, compression rate rebound rate test and other non-metallic gasket materials.
Experimental significance
The synthetic polymer component of these materials is generally antifungal because it does not serve as a carbon source for fungal growth. Usually other ingredients, such as plasticizers, cellulose, lubricants, stabilizers, colorants, are the main cause of mold attack on plastic materials. It is very important to be able to resist microbial erosion under conditions conducive to corrosion at temperatures of 2°C to 38°C and relative humidity of 60% to 100%.
Test Items
Mildew resistance test needs to measure the following performance changes of synthetic polymer materials after mildew: tensile strength, rigidity, hardness, light transmission, turbidity, water vapor dispersion, dielectric strength, dielectric constant, insulation resistance, arc resistance
