Test Background
The salt spray test is an accelerated corrosion test used to measure the comparative corrosion resistance of materials exposed to salt spray or salt spray at high temperatures. This corrosion test is designed to provide information on the corrosion resistance of metals and coated metals. The purpose of the salt spray test of geological instruments is to determine their adaptability for use in salt spray environmental conditions.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various geological instrument products, and provides professional salt spray testing services for geological instrument products.
Test method
1. Initial detection preprocessing
The specimens shall be visually inspected and, if necessary, electrical and mechanical performance tested in accordance with relevant standards. The relevant standard should specify the cleaning procedures to be used on specimens before testing and whether protective coatings need to be removed.
2. Conditional test
According to relevant specifications, the specimens should be tested according to normal use conditions. Therefore, the samples should be divided into multiple batches, and each batch should be tested according to one usage state.
3. Restore
After the test, unless otherwise specified, the small sample should be rinsed under tap water for 5 minutes, then rinsed with distilled or deionized water, and then shaken or dried with air flow to remove water droplets.
4. Final detection of
The specimens shall be visually inspected and, if necessary, electrical and mechanical properties shall be tested in accordance with relevant specifications and the test results shall be recorded.
