Test Background

Environmental Effects
Humidity and heat are one of the important environmental factors for ship equipment. Moisture and heat can deteriorate the physical and chemical properties of materials used in equipment, affecting equipment performance or even failure.
Some typical problems caused by ship equipment in hot and humid environments are as follows:
1. Moisture causes corrosion or lubricant deterioration, causing moving parts to get stuck;
2. After absorbing moisture, the material can expand, causing functional damage;
3. After absorbing moisture, the conductivity of the insulating material increases, resulting in reduced electrical and thermal properties, and reduced performance of electrical components;
4. Temperature and humidity cycles can cause condensation inside the sample, causing electrical short circuit;
5. The physical strength is reduced and the elasticity is reduced after getting damp.
