The sulfur dioxide test is an accelerated corrosion test method used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of protective-decorative coatings. During the sulfur dioxide test, sulfur dioxide gas is used to accelerate corrosion of materials or products under a certain temperature and relative humidity environment, and reproduce the degree of damage suffered by the material or product within a certain time range. The sulfur dioxide test can be used to assess the resistance to sulfur dioxide corrosion of materials and their protective layers, as well as to compare the process quality of similar protective layers. It can also be used to assess the resistance of certain products to sulfur dioxide corrosion.
