quality product dispute situation:
According to the information provided by the client, in August 2017, the supplier delivered the ship involved to the demander. After about 3 to 4 months of sailing, the buyer discovered that there was oil and water leakage at the tail shaft of the ship involved, accompanied by obvious abnormal noise, and it was impossible to continue sailing.
After the demander notified the supplier of the above situation, the supplier did not repair the tail shaft system. On June 4, 2018, the purchaser entrusted XX Shipping Development Co., Ltd. to repair the ship involved. The maintenance party found that the "vessel's tail shaft" involved had serious oil leakage. Due to uneven operation, there were severe signs of wear on the "vessel's tail shaft" and the parts that fixed the tail shaft had been deformed. The tail shaft and bearings were finally replaced, and the propeller was intact. The supplier believes that the ship involved does not have quality defects, and the water and oil leakage of the ship may be caused by natural wear and tear or improper use by the buyer.
Therefore, the demander applied to identify whether there are quality problems in the tail shaft part of the ship involved that would lead to oil and water leakage from the cargo ship.
