The RoHS directive is a mandatory standard formulated by EU legislation. It is the "Directive on Restricting the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electronic and Electrical Equipment." The national RoHS directive is a requirement of the "Management Catalog for Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2019.
EU RoHS 1.0: In 2006, EU legislation formulated a mandatory standard RoHS directive, which is mainly used to standardize the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products. It aims to eliminate six substances including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in electronic and electrical products.
EU RoHS 2.0: In 2015, the European Union issued Directive (EU) 2015/863 in its official journal to amend RoHS 2.0 (2011/65/EU) Appendix II, officially including four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP) in RoHS 2.0 in Appendix II. , there are currently ten compulsory controlled substances in Appendix II. After the directive is issued, each EU member state must convert the directive into national regulations and implement it before December 31, 2016.
Nationally recommended RoHS: According to the "Implementation Arrangements for the Conformity Assessment System for Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2019 (hereinafter referred to as the "Implementation Arrangement"), products that were manufactured or imported after November 1, 2019 and are listed in the "Management Catalog for Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (First Batch)", The requirements of the Implementation Arrangements should be met.
