Classification and identification of hazardous characteristics

Classification and identification of hazardous characteristics is based on the characteristics of the chemical (compound, mixture or element) itself and based on relevant standards to determine whether it is a hazardous chemical and to delineate possible hazard categories and categories. According to Article 3 of the "Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals" (State Council Order No. 591), the term "hazardous chemicals" as mentioned in these regulations refers to highly toxic chemicals and other chemicals that are poisonous, corrosive, explosive, combustible, and combustion-supporting, and are harmful to the human body, facilities, and the environment.

Dangerous Goods refer to those substances or items that are harmful to personal safety, public safety and environmental safety. "Model Recommendations and Regulations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods" divides dangerous goods into nine categories:
Category 1: Explosive substances or articles
Category 2: Gases, flammable gases, non-flammable and non-toxic gases, Toxic gas
Category 3: Flammable liquid
Category 4: Flammable solids; substances prone to spontaneous combustion; substances that release flammable gases when exposed to water, flammable solids, substances prone to spontaneous combustion, substances that emit flammable gases when exposed to water Substances
Category 5: oxidizing substances, organic peroxides, oxidizing substances, organic peroxides
Category 6: Toxic substances and infectious substances
Category 7: Radioactive substances
Category 8: Corrosive substances
Category 9: Miscellaneous hazardous substances and articles, including environmentally hazardous substances
