When a company's office was built, a large area of glass curtain wall was used, but soon after completion, the tempered glass began to crack. As a result, the company approached the glass supply factory and asked them to compensate for maintenance. However, the glass supplier believes that the cracked tempered glass has nothing to do with the quality, but is an installation problem. It may also be caused by the large number of factories near the company and the loud noise. After negotiations failed, the company took the tempered glass factory to court. The court immediately conducted a quality appraisal on the batch of tempered glass. The
expert team visited the site and inspected the surrounding environment. At the same time, samples were taken and returned to the laboratory for composition analysis, impact resistance, pressure and other tests. After analysis and testing, it was found that there was no problem with the installation of this batch of tempered glass, and there were no signs of external impact on the surface. However, abnormal spots were found in the radial center of the rupture. After electron microscopy energy spectrum analysis, it was found that the impurities contained nickel sulfide impurities. These nickel sulfides are the main reason why tempered glass breaks.
