Test Background
After the pigment comes into contact with oil, some pigments are slightly soluble in oil, which will cause oil staining. The oil resistance of the pigment refers to the pigment's resistance to oil dissolution and oil staining. The Pigment Oil Resistance Test determines the oil resistance of a pigment.

Scope of tests
1. According to the chemical composition of pigments, they can be divided into two categories: inorganic pigments and organic pigments. According to their sources, they can be divided into natural pigments and synthetic pigments.
2. Pigments are classified according to their function, such as anti-rust pigments, magnetic pigments, luminescent pigments, pearlescent pigments, conductive pigments, etc.
3. From the perspective of production and manufacturing, it can be classified into titanium pigments, iron pigments, chromium pigments, lead pigments, zinc pigments, metallic pigments, and organic synthetic pigments.
4. From the perspective of application, it can be classified into paint pigments, ink pigments, plastic pigments, rubber pigments, ceramic and enamel pigments, pharmaceutical and cosmetic pigments, art pigments, etc.
Test method
Place the percolation ring filter paper and the blank test filter paper side by side on the filter paper. Under natural lighting facing north, the incident light is at an angle of 45° to the object being observed.
The observation direction is perpendicular to the surface of the object to be observed, and the staining level of the seepage zone is visually evaluated against the gray sample card used for staining assessment.
