Test Background
Anti-algae refers to the process of using chemical or physical methods to kill algae or hinder the growth, reproduction and activity of algae. The paint film algae resistance test determines the algae resistance of outdoor paint films in architectural coatings.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various paint films and provides professional algae resistance testing services for paint films.
Scope of tests
1) According to use: there are wood paint, iron paint, glass paint, aluminum paint;
2) Divided by state: water-based paint and oil-based paint. Water-based paint is mainly latex paint, while lacquer paint, polyurethane paint, etc.;
3) According to the form of action: volatile paint and non-volatile paint;
4) According to the surface effect: transparent paint, translucent paint and opaque paint.
Test method
This standard test method is an accelerated test designed to simulate the environmental conditions for algae growth in nature and is designed according to the physiological characteristics of algae growth to determine the inhibitory effect of paint films on algae.
The anti-algae performance of the paint film is evaluated by using visual inspection to determine the degree of algae growth.
Test standard:
GB/T 21353-2008 Determination of algae resistance of paint films
GB/T 3186 Paints, varnishes and raw materials for paints and varnishes Sampling
GB/T 1727-1992 General preparation method of paint film
