Impact Testing of Car Tires-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

Car tire impact resistance test can use the pendulum method to determine the impact resistance of car tires. In view of the safety risk of puncture due to bulging of car tires after impact, the impact resistance evaluation of different series of tires was determined to provide technical basis for manufacturers' production and research and development, and to help consumers make reasonable choices when replacing tires.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various tires and provides professional impact resistance testing services for car tires.

Scope of tests

is suitable for new 30 series to 65 series pneumatic tubeless passenger tires. It is not suitable for run-flat tires and spare tires for temporary use only.

Test method

1. If the bulge height at each impact point is less than 1 mm, let it sit for 30 minutes and check the bulge height again.
2. If the rim is damaged due to impact during the test, the rim should be replaced and the tire should be reassembled and inflated according to the specified air pressure. After 15 minutes of inflation, recheck the tire for cracks and measure the air pressure and bulge height.
