Test Background
Polymer waterproof membrane is a special waterproof material that can be curled into sheets, using rubber, resin or a blend of the two as the base material of the membrane, adding appropriate chemical additives, fillers and other raw materials, and using processing techniques such as internal mixing, extrusion or calendering. The tear test of building polymer waterproof membrane can use trapezoidal notch or cut specimens to measure its tear performance.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various building waterproofing membranes, and provides professional tear testing services for polymer waterproofing membranes.
Scope of tests
There are many types of polymer waterproof membranes, such as self-adhesive red core polymer modified asphalt waterproof membrane, self-adhesive strong cross-membrane polymer waterproof membrane, polyvinyl chloride PVC polymer waterproof membrane, thermoplastic polyolefin TPO polymer waterproof membrane, polyethylene polyester polypropylene polymer waterproof membrane, chlorinated polyethylene CPE polymer waterproof membrane, HDPE non-asphalt-based self-adhesive film polymer waterproof membrane.
Test method
1. The principle is to measure the force required to completely tear the test piece, which is the continuation of the existing gap or cut in the test piece.
2. The testing machine generates uniform tearing force at a constant speed until the specimen is damaged, and records the force at the highest point reached.
