Test Background
Vulcanized rubber constant elongation and permanent deformation test can use a modulus tester to measure the constant elongation and permanent deformation of vulcanized rubber.

Scope of tests
In terms of its vulcanization method, vulcanized rubber can be roughly divided into:
1) Flat vulcanizing machine vulcanization: flat tapes such as conveyor belts and transmission belts;
2) Vulcanizing tank vulcanization: rubber hoses, rubber rollers, rubber shoes, air bags, rubber strips, tapes, roller coatings, pipe linings, cables, etc.;
3) Continuous vulcanization: sealing strips, pure rubber hoses, wires and cables, etc.
Test method
The sample is stretched to a certain length by a modulus tester and kept in this state for a certain period of time. Then the external force is removed and left for a certain period of time.
The length of the unrecoverable part of the working part of the specimen is measured. The ratio of this length to the original gauge length of the specimen or the gauge length in the tensile elongation state is the permanent deformation.
