Test Background

Tape is a conductor, so it contains static electricity. During the pasting process, a large amount of charge will also be generated due to the stretching and squeezing of the tape. The main purpose of electrostatic tape is anti-static tape. Static tape is generally used for external packaging and clean rooms of circuit boards, laptops, mobile communications and other products that require anti-static.
The adhesive tape electrostatic property test can measure the electrostatic properties of the adhesive tape (surface resistance, surface electrostatic voltage, peeling voltage). Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various adhesive tapes, and provides professional electrostatic performance testing services for adhesive tapes.

Scope of tests

can be divided into two categories according to its use: anti-static type and warning type. Anti-static tape is divided into mesh tape and transparent tape. It has anti-static function and can be used for packaging electronic products.
The anti-static warning tape itself does not have anti-static function. It has an anti-static logo printed on the surface and can be used as a warning for static-sensitive products or anti-static areas.

Test method

1. Measurement of surface resistance: Place the surface resistance tester on the surface of the selected measurement area, press the button gently, hold for half a minute, read the measured data and record it.
2. Measurement of surface electrostatic voltage: Keep the distance between the electrostatic voltage tester and the real-time peeling position at 25 mm. When the adhesive tape is separated from the isolation material, use an electrostatic voltage tester to detect the peeling voltage at the interface and record it.
3. Measurement of peeling voltage: Keep the distance between the electrostatic voltage tester and the real-time peeling position at 25 mm. When the adhesive tape is separated from the test board, use the electrostatic voltage tester to detect the peeling voltage at the interface and record it.
