Building sealing material bonding performance test

Building sealing material bonding performance test-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

The bonding properties of building sealing materials are tested for the tensile bonding, constant elongation bonding, adhesion after water immersion, adhesion after tension-compression, peeling adhesion, adhesion after high/low temperature treatment and other bonding properties of the sealing material.
Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various building materials, products and components, and provides professional bonding performance testing services for building sealing materials.

Scope of tests

1. Sealing materials can be divided into two categories according to their strength: shaped sealing materials (sealing strips, pressure strips, etc.) and non-shaped sealing materials (sealing paste or caulking paste, etc.).
Amorphous sealing materials can be divided into plastic sealing paste, elastic-plastic sealing paste and elastic sealing paste according to their raw materials and their properties.
2. Sealing materials can be divided into polysulfide, polyurethane, silicone, chloroprene rubber, butyl rubber, acrylic glue, etc. according to their chemical composition.
At present, the three types that are used in large quantities on the market are silicone, polyurethane, and polysulfide.

Test method

1. Determination of tensile adhesion: Determine the secant tensile modulus of building sealing materials, the maximum tensile strength from tension to failure, and the bonding condition between the elongation at break and the base material.
2. Determination of peel adhesion: Determine the peel strength and damage condition of elastic building sealing materials.
3. Determination of fixed elongation adhesion: the tensile bonding performance of building sealing materials in a certain elongation state.
4. Determination of tensile adhesion after water immersion: Determine the effect of water immersion on the elongation at break of the plastic sealing material and the bonding condition with the base material, or measure the effect of water immersion on the tensile bonding performance of the elastic sealing material.
5. Determination of fixed elongation adhesion after water immersion: Determine the effect of water immersion on the bonding performance of building sealing materials in a constant elongation state.
6. Determination of adhesion after tension-compression cycles at the same temperature: Determine the adhesion and cohesion properties of building sealing materials with obvious plastic characteristics after repeated tension-compression.
7. Determination of adhesion after cold drawing and hot pressing: Determination of the adhesion and cohesion properties of building sealing materials with significant elastic characteristics after repeated cooling, stretching and heating and compression.
8. Determination of adhesion after water immersion and tension-compression cycles: Evaluate the impact of sealing materials on the displacement ability after continuous flooding within a specified period of time.
