Test Background
The peel strength of hard covering materials on furniture surfaces refers to the maximum load required to peel the covering (or facing) layer from the contact surface per unit width or length. The peel strength test of the hard covering material on the surface of furniture can be measured using a mechanical testing machine to measure the peel strength between the hard covering material on the surface of furniture and the base material.

Scope of tests
Various sheet covering materials with a stiffness greater than or equal to 0.1 N/m and a thickness not greater than 3 mm, such as wooden decorative veneers, natural veneers, artificial veneers (restructured decorative veneers), plastic veneers (high-pressure decorative panels), metal sheets, etc.
Test method
Using a mechanical testing machine, place the hard covering material protruding from both ends of the specimen on the support knife of the fixture, and apply vertical downward pressure on the center of the specimen to generate an unevenly distributed load between the hard covering material and the base material, causing the covering material to peel off from the base material or be damaged. Observe and record the damage to the bonding surface of the specimen and the maximum damage load.
