Test Background
The actual load on the building surface changes with wind direction, time, height from the ground, building shape, geographical climate, surrounding buildings and other factors. The structural performance of the hanging system is a function of factors such as processing and installation. It also depends on the rigidity of the supporting structure and the resistance of the stone to various adverse factors such as vibration and temperature changes.
The natural stone hanging system structural strength test can determine the structural strength of the stone hanging system under positive and negative uniform static pressure differences. Scope of tests
Natural stone refers to the general name for materials that are mined from natural rock masses and processed into block or plate shapes.
The natural stones used for building decoration mainly include natural marble, natural jade (for decoration, non-commercial jade), granite, sandstone, slate, quartz-based stone, etc.
Test method
1. Positive load status
1) Use the same method as in the actual installation process of the project to install the sample under the detection chamber with the decorative surface facing upward; adjust the sample to level.
2) Inject water into the testing chamber, and control the water addition rate so that the sample begins to be stressed until the sample is damaged or reaches the design load within 30 minutes, and record the maximum water pressure reached on the sample surface when the sample is damaged or reaches the design load.
3) If the sample is damaged, record the damage status, and use a vernier caliper to measure the size of the damaged part of the sample, accurate to 0.1 mm.
4) If the applied load reaches the design load before the specimen is damaged, it should be maintained for at least 5 s.
2. Load status
Install the sample under the detection chamber using the same method as in the actual installation process of the project, with the decorative surface facing down; adjust the sample to level. The test steps, sample measurement, and holding time are the same as the test steps, sample measurement, and holding time in the normal load state.
