Deformation test of building thermal insulation products-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

The deformation test of building insulation products can determine the deformation of building insulation products under specified compressive load, temperature and time conditions. Relative deformation, the reduction in thickness of the specimen under a specified compressive load, is expressed as a percentage of the original thickness of the specimen, and its measurement direction is the direction of the compressive load.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various building insulation products, and provides professional deformation testing and other reliability testing services for building insulation products.

Scope of tests

Inorganic fibrous products: asbestos products, mineral wool products, glass wool products, ceramic fiber products
Inorganic granular products: expanded vermiculite products, expanded perlite products
Inorganic porous products: diatomite products, microporous calcium silicate products, foam glass products, foam concrete and aerated concrete products

Test method

A specified compressive load is applied to the specimen, and the relative deformation of the specimen is measured in two steps, each step having different temperature and time conditions. Measure the thickness of each sample after adjustment according to ISO 29768, accurate to 0.1 mm. The test is divided into two steps, A and B. The process is as follows.
StepA
Use the load corresponding to the selected test condition group (1, 2 or 3) to load the specimen at a temperature of (23±5)°C and a time of (48±1) h. After (48±1) h, measure the thickness dl of the specimen under load, accurate to 0.1 mm.
StepsB
According to the selected test condition group (1, 2 or 3), the loaded specimen is placed in the selected temperature environment and maintained for the corresponding time. After holding for the selected time, measure the thickness of the specimen under load and test temperature to the nearest 0.1 mm.
