Non-metallic gasket material sealing test-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

The purpose of the non-metallic gasket material sealing test is to determine the sealing performance of plate-shaped and solid on-site formed gasket materials at room temperature. It can be used to compare the sealing performance of gasket materials under controlled conditions and give accurate leakage rate values.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various non-metallic gasket materials, and provides professional reliability testing services such as sealing test, tensile strength test, softness test, compression rate rebound rate test and other non-metallic gasket materials.

Test method

Test method A is limited to liquid leakage rate measurements and uses a compression device through which external loads are introduced into the flange to generate a compression force on the gasket specimen.
Test method B can be used to measure the leakage rate of both liquid and gas media. Another compression device is used. The flange is placed in the middle of a frame composed of four bolts. Different compression forces are applied to the flange through it. The pressure value is measured by a pressure sensor installed in it.
The sealing performance test results are expressed in terms of leakage rate, that is, the number of milliliters leaked by the sample per hour under specified test conditions.
