Test Background
Due to defects in materials or workmanship or due to misoperation by operators, humidity and temperature, etc., latent defects are left inside electrical equipment. For example, if the original defective equipment is put into operation in the power system, some accidents will occur at the time. Some accidents will not occur temporarily, but after a period of operation, accidents will occur, and even cause serious consequences, such as equipment damage, line tripping, etc.
In order to prevent accidents when electrical equipment is put into operation or during operation and to promptly discover potential defects in the equipment, high-voltage tests must be run on electrical equipment. The purpose of high-temperature/high-pressure testing of geological instruments is to determine their adaptability for use in high-temperature and high-pressure environments and the integrity of their structural seals.

Test method
1. After the product under test is connected to the ground measurement (or control) instrument through cables under normal atmospheric conditions and debugged, place it in the test device and turn on the power supply to make the product in normal working condition.
2. Seal the test device and ensure that it is safe, so that the device is in a controlled and normal working condition.
3. The temperature and pressure of the test are gradually increased to the specified upper limit of temperature and pressure according to the temperature and pressure step sequence diagram. Heating rate: 1~5℃/min; Pressure increasing rate: 0.1~0.5MPa/min.
4. Ladder holding time: 10min; high temperature and high pressure upper limit holding time: 30min.
5. Products with discontinuous measurement can be powered off during the temperature and voltage rise period if permitted.
6. Before raising the temperature and voltage, perform intermediate measurements of the main technical indicators (including insulation resistance) according to the product standards during the holding time of each step. The results should all comply with the requirements of the technical standards.
7. After the upper limit holding time is over, gradually reduce the temperature and pressure to normal conditions, take out the test product, wipe it clean, and restore it to normal atmospheric conditions for 30 minutes.
8. Final inspection: According to the technical standards of the tested product, check that the appearance of the tested product must not be rigidly deformed; the seal is good, and there are no traces of water or oil in the protective tube; the mechanical performance and electrical performance test results should all comply with the provisions of the product technical standards.
