Biodegradable nonwoven fabric is an environmentally friendly material that is placed in the natural environment and can slowly decompose and eventually disappear under the action of microorganisms.
On the one hand, pure and natural material sources are used, including viscose fiber, cotton, bamboo fiber, lyocell fiber and their blends. For example, degradable bio-fiber agricultural non-woven fabrics are used to replace plastic films for cotton planting, reducing impurities in cotton and improving the quality of domestic cotton.
On the one hand, bio-based polymers (such as polylactic acid PLA, polyhydroxyalkanoate PHA, polyhydroxybutyrate PHB, etc.) are used to replace petroleum polymer fiber products to comply with the requirements of EPR systems in various countries.
Biodegradable performance testing of non-woven fabrics can be used to test and evaluate the biodegradable performance of non-woven fabrics by measuring the released carbon dioxide. Detection Range
Nonwoven fabric is a kind of fabric that does not require spinning and weaving. It just orients or randomly arranges short textile fibers or filaments to form a fiber mesh structure, and then uses mechanical, thermal bonding or chemical methods to reinforce it. The main ones are:
1. Medical and sanitary cloths: surgical gowns, protective clothing, disinfection wraps, masks, diapers, women's sanitary napkins, etc.;
2. Cloths for home decoration: wall coverings, tablecloths, sheets, bedspreads, etc.;
3. Clothing fabrics: linings, adhesive linings, wadding, styling cotton, various synthetic leather base fabrics, etc.;
4. Industrial cloth: filter materials, insulation materials, cement packaging bags, geotextiles, covering cloths, etc.;
5. Agricultural cloth: crop protection cloth, seedling raising cloth, irrigation cloth, thermal insulation curtain, etc.;
6. Others: space cotton, thermal insulation and sound insulation materials, linoleum felt, cigarette filters, tea bags, etc.
TEST PRINCIPLE
The sample is placed in a soil bacterial suspension and degraded under the action of microorganisms. After a certain period of time, the cumulative inorganic carbon release of the test sample accounts for the percentage of the total organic carbon content of the original sample to determine the biodegradability of the sample.
