Pesticide Quality Identification

Pesticide Quality Identification-Accident Appraisal-CAS Testing Technical Services (Hong Kong) Company Limited

Appraisal Background

Mosquito bites can be seen everywhere in summer, and insecticides have become a "sharp weapon" for many families to deal with mosquitoes. At present, my country produces about 400 million cans of insecticidal aerosols every year, ranking among the best in the world, with an average of 0.31 cans per capita. However, there are still many fake and inferior insecticidal aerosol products flooding the market.
Some recycling workshop-style unlicensed processing plants use crude raw materials, and some even increase toxic pesticides as raw materials, and fill them into fake or recycled used insecticide aerosol cans through simple canning. Long-term use of such pesticides can easily cause harm to human health, and may even explode and injure people during use.
Zhongke Testing provides accident identification services, which can identify whether there are quality problems related to pesticides, issue professional and reliable test reports, and assist courts and enterprises in resolving product quality disputes.

Authentication case

The plaintiff purchased a bottle of pesticide from the store and placed it according to the storage instructions without opening the package. A few days later, while the plaintiff was using the pesticide normally, the bottle exploded, causing serious injury to his finger. Soon after, the plaintiff took the pesticide manufacturer to court, and the court entrusted our company to conduct a technical appraisal of whether there were quality defects in the pesticide pressure container bottles.
After identification by the expert group, the following conclusions were drawn:
1. The manufacturer failed to provide the production process and technical documents for the canned pesticide;
2. The product did not have obvious safe use warning signs;
3. The manufacturer did not operate in a standardized manner during the factory inspection, and the test results were insufficient to ensure product quality;
4. The weight of the canned pesticide seriously exceeded the specified value stated by the manufacturer, which was the main cause of the tank explosion.
