Test Background
A fire suddenly broke out in the bedroom and quickly spread to the flammable mattress. The fire quickly developed and eventually led to a large fire. This is a true scenario for most home fires. In addition to releasing a large amount of heat, mattress burning also produces thick smoke mixed with harmful substances such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen nitride, which endangers people's physical and mental health and damages property safety.
The mattress burning test determines the burning performance of upholstered furniture mattresses. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability of various mattresses and provides professional combustion test services for mattresses.

Test method
1. When the caloric measurement system is fully operational, after adjusting the instrument to zero and setting the span, start the video light, video camera and data recording system 2 minutes before the burner is ignited. You can also use the camera to take pictures.
2. Start the burner by energizing the timer and turn it on at the same time for 30 minutes. If video is not taken, photos should be taken within 45 seconds before starting the burner.
3. The burner sprays fire for 70 seconds and then flames out. After flameout, carefully move the surface burner tube away from the test sample to minimize its impact on the test sample.
4. Move the burner assembly away from the test sample area so that the video camera can fully see the side of the test sample. It is recommended that the burner assembly be removed from the test area to protect it. Remove any airflow-blocking netting (if applicable).
