A tire company of the applicant signed a "Fully Automatic Tread Laminating Machine Purchase Contract" with an equipment manufacturer of the respondent, agreeing to purchase 5 units of DW-800 equipment. Six months after the equipment was put into production, problems such as tread pressure bubbles and insufficient peel strength occurred in many production lines, resulting in a 25% drop in the finished tire qualification rate. The tire company believed that the equipment had design defects and demanded compensation for the loss caused by the suspension of production.
