Carbon rods have the characteristics of high temperature resistance, good electrical conductivity, and are not easy to break. They are suitable for cutting metal into required shapes. In addition, carbon rods are also a conductor with average electrical conductivity and are often used as vacuum furnace heating tubes. They mainly rely on resistance heating to heat the equipment furnace body. The wide application of
carbon rods is due to its high operating temperature, easy conductivity, and good chemical stability. It has been widely used in national defense, machinery, metallurgy, chemical industry, casting, non-ferrous alloys, light weight and other fields.

quality product dispute situation:
According to the information provided by the client, the purchase of carbon rods for batteries from the supplier began in November 2016, and it is a long-term cooperative relationship. In September 2019, the demand side received feedback from its customers that its battery products had quality problems, which were manifested in battery discharge and battery leakage. The demander believed that the problem of battery discharge and leakage was related to the quality problem of the "carbon rods" involved in the case provided by the supplier in August 2019, and informed the supplier on October 16, 2019.
However, the supplier believes that the "carbon rods" involved in the case have passed the factory inspection and have no quality problems. Even if the batteries produced by the demand side have problems such as dead power and leakage, they have nothing to do with the "carbon rods" involved in the case.
In order to clarify whether the "carbon rods" involved in the case have quality problems and whether they will cause battery discharge and leakage problems in the batteries produced using them, the demander proposed to identify whether the "carbon rods" involved in the case met the requirements of the industry standard QB/T 1973-2006 "Carbon Rods for Batteries". The supplier proposed to identify the correlation and degree of the "carbon rods" involved in the case with battery discharge and battery leakage.

The appraisal expert group discussed and comprehensively analyzed the relevant information, on-site investigation and test data of the "carbon rods" involved in the case, and made the following appraisal opinions:
1) The size of the "carbon rods" involved in the case does not meet the requirements of the industry standard QB/T 1973-2006 "Carbon Rods for Batteries";
2) There is no correlation between the quality of the "carbon rods" involved and the problems of battery outage and leakage.
