The applicant, a construction investment company, and the respondent, a company, signed a construction contract for the civil engineering and installation projects of a certain factory on X, month, X, year. Within less than a year after the construction was completed, the glass in the curtain wall of the project frequently exploded. After the glass exploded, it fell from high altitude, causing damage to many cars. The applicant asked the respondent to hand over all construction materials of the project and provide documents proving the quality of the glass. Then it was discovered that the respondent did not construct the project according to the drawings and changed the original glass specifications without authorization. In order to protect its own rights and interests, the applicant filed a lawsuit in court.

The court commissioned a product quality appraisal agency to identify the cause of the self-explosion of the curtain wall glass involved.
