The quality problem of extrusion production lines is a thorny issue that production companies often encounter. Once a fault or defect occurs, it may cause serious economic losses and safety hazards. Then, when a dispute arises between a buyer and a seller due to equipment quality issues, quality appraisal can provide strong technical support for the court's ruling, and can also provide a reference for the buyer and seller to negotiate and resolve disputes.

The buyer and seller signed an extrusion line production and installation contract in 2021. The production line includes three semi-automatic multi-long rod hot shearing furnaces, one fully automatic multi-long rod hot shearing furnace, two aluminum aging furnaces, an automatic interruption saw and other equipment. After the equipment was delivered, the buyer discovered a variety of problems during use, such as:
1, the hot shearing furnace malfunctioned and caught fire, causing a large area of burning on the top of the factory building;
2, the energy consumption of the hot shearing furnace was too high, exceeding what was agreed in the contract
3, the automatic interruption saw does not match the extrusion speed of the production line, resulting in low production efficiency;
4, the aluminum material aging control system does not have an over-temperature protection alarm function, causing the aluminum material to be scrapped due to overheating.
The buyer believes that these problems are caused by quality defects in the equipment provided by the seller, and requires the seller to perform maintenance service obligations within the warranty period. However, the seller shied away from performance, believing that these problems were caused by improper use or modification by the buyer. After many fruitless negotiations with the seller, the buyer sued the court and filed an application for quality appraisal.

The court entrusted our company to conduct quality appraisal of the extrusion production line equipment. After communicating with the court handlers and buyers and sellers, and arranging appraisal experts and staff to conduct on-site inspections, our company clarified that the appraisal object was the one involved in the case (hot shearing furnace production line). At the same time, we determined the following four quality appraisal matters regarding the disputed issues: Is there a quality defect in the lever mechanism of the
fully automatic multi-long rod hot shearing furnace machine? Are there quality defects in the hydraulic oil pipe welds of
semi-automatic multi-long rod hot shearing furnace machine? Is there a design flaw in the
aluminum profile aging control system? Does the unit energy consumption of the hot shearing furnace production line comply with the contract?
Since the "hot shearing furnace production line" involved in the case is a large-scale production line equipment, the on-site inspection workload is heavy and the overall technical difficulty of the identification is relatively high. Our company organized an expert group composed of a number of appraisal experts with relevant professional backgrounds and rich experience to conduct on-site inspection, testing and analysis of appraisal items one by one.

Based on the above on-site inspection and testing, combined with the analysis and discussion of relevant technical data and standards, the appraisal expert group finally gave the following appraisal opinions:
The lever mechanism of the fully automatic multi-long rod hot shearing furnace machine has been repaired and replaced by the buyer. The replaced parts are missing, and the seller has not provided relevant technical information and design and installation drawings. Therefore, it is impossible to analyze and confirm whether the mechanical strength of the lever mechanism of the hot shearing furnace machine meets the production requirements; HTML The hydraulic oil pipe weld of the hot shear machine of the TAGTOKEN2 semi-automatic multi-rod hot shearing furnace machine had quality defects, which caused fuel injection during normal use, leading to a fire accident; the
aluminum profile aging control system was not set up with an over-temperature protection alarm function, and there were design flaws, which was the main reason for the over-temperature scrapping of the aluminum as stated by the buyer;
was tested on site and the unit energy consumption of the hot shearing furnace production line involved in the case met the energy consumption requirements agreed between the buyer and the seller.
