Lime kiln qualityAppraisal Background

A lime kiln is a piece of equipment used to produce lime, also known as a lime furnace or lime kiln. It is mainly composed of kiln body, cooling equipment, hot blast furnace, slewing bearing device, materials, flue system and other parts. The lime kiln can perform processes such as moisture stripping and carbonic acid stripping to produce high-purity active lime.
lime kiln is mainly used in building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries. In the building materials industry, the activated lime produced by lime kilns is widely used in river embankment stone construction, highway roadbed, bridges, ports and terminals, anti-corrosion and other fields. In the chemical industry, activated lime produced by lime kilns can be used to manufacture rubber, dyes, food, pharmaceuticals and other products. In addition, lime kilns are also widely used in metallurgy, environmental protection and other fields.
In the case of lime kiln quality appraisal, Zhongke Testing can provide lime kiln quality appraisal services.

Lime kiln qualityAppraisal Scope

Lime kilns have many different classification methods. According to the shape of the kiln, they are divided into square kilns, round kilns, etc.;
according to the types of products, they are divided into lime kilns, ceramic kilns, cement kilns, glass kilns, brick kilns, etc.;
from The characteristics of flame flow are divided into horizontal flame kiln, rising flame kiln, down-flame kiln, horseshoe-shaped flame kiln, etc.;
is divided into coal-burning kiln, oil-fired kiln, gas kiln, etc. according to the type of fuel used;
can be divided into kiln car kiln, roller bottom kiln, push plate kiln, etc. according to the material transportation method.

Lime kiln qualityAuthentication case

was entrusted by a certain public security bureau to conduct a quality analysis of the "lime kiln" involved in the case. The purpose of the quality appraisal analysis of the lime kiln is as follows:
(1) To identify the reasons for the "cracks in the outer cylinder wall of the kiln, tilt of the inner cylinder, collapse accidents, and inability to be used normally" of the lime kiln involved in the case.
(2) In order to further clarify the reasons why the equipment cannot produce normally, the client hopes to conduct a quality analysis on whether there are quality problems in the "lime kiln" involved.
The expert team conducted on-site inspections on the "lime kiln" involved in the case, conducted verification tests and comprehensive analysis on the on-site inspection, material performance and engineering quality testing, and the stress analysis of the lime kiln body. The quality appraisal opinion of the "lime kiln" was:
(1) None of the above information was available at the time of construction of the project. This shows that the lime kiln is a "three noes" project with no prior design, no supervision during construction, and no acceptance upon completion, and does not comply with the basic procedures of project construction.
(2) The thickness of the rubble masonry accounts for most of the kiln wall thickness, while the brick masonry only accounts for a smaller part. Therefore, the stress of the brick masonry can be ignored and only the load-bearing capacity of the rubble masonry can be considered. According to calculations based on the current "Masonry Structure Design Code" (GB50003-2001), the rubble masonry is far from being able to withstand the axial tensile force exerted on the kiln wall by the loose bodies during the lime firing process. Therefore, the local weak parts were damaged first during the production process, thus causing this accident.
