Appraisal Background
The quality of power cables directly affects the operation safety of the line. Once the line cannot operate safely and stably, the daily and economic losses caused by its failure are unpredictable. Problems that occur when using cables are generally caused by two major reasons. One is the use of inferior cables, which already have huge problems during production; the other is caused by improper use or improper maintenance of cables.
Zhongke Testing provides building materials product quality appraisal services. It can conduct appraisal work on whether there are problems with the quality of cables, issue professional and reliable inspection reports, and assist courts and enterprises in resolving product quality disputes.

Authentication case
A cable fire broke out in a residential area. Because it was close to a green belt, the fire spread quickly. Although it was extinguished with the joint efforts of the masses and the fire brigade, it still caused relatively large property losses. As a result, the property management company investigated the responsibility and entrusted our company to identify the cause of the cable fire. The
expert team took samples of the cable involved and brought them back to the laboratory. They tested the conductor material, insulation resistance, average sheath thickness, outer diameter, conductive resistance and other items in accordance with national standards. They found that many of the items did not comply with national standards.
Subsequently, the expert team analyzed the environment. In the end, experts found that some of the cables had irregularities in buried wires. They had been exposed to the sun and rain for a long time, and the thickness of the sheath itself was not up to standard, causing the insulation layer to wear and tear, which in turn caused insulation breakdown between the cables or between the lead sheaths, resulting in arcs that caused the insulation materials and cable outer protective materials to burn and catch fire. It can be seen that the cable fire accident was not only related to the quality of the cable itself, but also related to the damage caused by insufficient wiring standards.
